"Re:本田祐也の移動広告テント / Re: Yuya Honda‘s mobile advertising tent" is a public performance project by TRAVEL MUSICA, directed by Rie Watanabe, and presented for the first time during the Shimokitazawa International Puppet Festival 2024 in Tokyo, Japan. Inside the tent, an ensemble performs Yuya Honda’s music while traversing the urban cityscape.
The legendary "mobile advertising tent," originally designed by my cousin, the Japanese composer Yuya Honda (1977-2004), and his colleagues, was first presented at the Yokohama Triennale in 2001. Twenty-three years later, his concept has been reimagined as "Re: Yuya Honda's Mobile Advertising Tent," a response to Yuya, re-imagining and continuing his vision.
